Wick Hill are delighted to be supporting Steve Anthony’s climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 meters and known as the Roof of Africa. The climb is in the aid of supporting cleft palate charity Smile Train.
Smile Train is a charity who actively provide free cleft palate surgery for children in over 87 countries worldwide. Every 5 minutes a child is free to smile again thanks to Smile Train and the generous fund raising of people like Steve.
In Steve’s words “Smile Train, a charity close to my heart, provides free cleft repair surgeries to those in need while helping to train local doctors. This makes is possible for a child born with a cleft to EAT, BREATHE, SPEAK PROPERLY and SMILE!”
He Adds “With your help I hope to raise £10,000 for Smile Train, which will be enough for 66 children to have cleft surgery and in-turn dramatically increase their chances of leading a fulfilling and normal life, which I think we’d all agree is the least every child deserves in this day and age.”
Steve currently heads up E-Zu Solutions, a Wick Hill partner and certified Barracuda Reseller. When he’s not running a successful IT business, he’s training for the big event with practise climbs to Mt. Snowden in Wales and more planned with Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike on the to-do list. Steve has quite the few months ahead of him.
Steve’s quest to the summit with start on 5th August 2016. If you would like to show your support, visit his Just Giving Page.
